The Valve Box Sealed System reduces valve actuation time and prevents contamination. The Bingham & Taylor No Vac Valve Box Sealed System consists of a Valve Box Stabilizer and Debris Trap, available together, or separately.
The Stabilizer fits all round valve box bells and bases, and can be used with cast iron and plastic valve boxes. It is highly effective in preventing the intrusion of dirt, backfill or sand from below – and above.
- Patented design assures proper alignment of the valve box and protection of the valve by keeping the valve nut centered.
- All down force is transferred to the back filled areas, rather than to the buried valve or pipe.
- System prevents the intrusion of dirt from the bottom and top of the box, which would otherwise cause the valve nut to become covered and unusable.
The Debris Trap component of the Valve Box Sealed System was engineered to eliminate maintenance and service issues caused by debris intrusion through and around the valve box top over time.
The unique Debris Trap design is also responsible for the system being “no vac,” because it eliminates the need to vacuum out the box prior to actuating the valve, a cumbersome and time-consuming task.
While the Stabilizer part of the system eliminates contamination from below, the Debris Trap guards against dirt and debris from the top – perfect synergy!
The Debris Trap fits plastic and cast iron valve boxes, both domestic and imported. It is manufactured from utility grade ABS plastic, the ideal material for applications that demand high surface hardness, rigidity, impact strength and overall toughness. The toughness of ABS is the result of submicroscopically fine polybutadiene rubber particles uniformly distributed in the SAN (styrene-acrylonitrile copolymer) matrix. ABS is ideal for utility maintenance products.
Bingham & Taylor “No Vac” Debris Traps are manufactured in black and are both paintable and markable using standard indelible markers. The components of the “No Vac” Sealed System are manufactured in the USA.
